Availability:
We offer appointments on weekdays, including after-school hours. You can contact our Practice team for assistance in finding the right support, and appointments can be made without a GP referral. Please note that cancellation fees may apply; refer to our FAQ page for details. -
Billing Structure:
Perfect Fit Health Solutions does not offer bulk billing. Our fees are set below the APS recommended rates, and we believe that fee-for-service therapy is generally more effective than bulk billing or heavily subsidised options. Reduced fees may be available at the therapist's discretion, but these are rare due to high demand.Consultation Fees:
Consultation fees vary depending on the therapist and the time of your appointment. Assessment consultations are priced higher, and any written correspondence outside of sessions, including reports, will incur additional charges. Please ask our office managers or your clinician about specific costs during your visit.Consultation Options:
In addition to face to face, we offer options for phone and zoom consultations. Medicare rebates are dependent on eligibility.Payment Methods:
Payments can be made by direct debit, eftpos or cash. Applicable Medicare rebates will be processed on the spot and credited to your registered bank account. -
Medicare Rebates:
Clients with a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP can receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, with a GP review required after 6 sessions. Most clients book a therapy appointment and see their GP in between sessions. Alternatively, some clients pay the full fee for their first session and then see their GP to access rebates for subsequent sessions. Rebates typically range from $89.25 to $131.65. Chronic Disease Management Plans may also be available from your GP for additional rebates. For your convenience, therapists at Perfect Fit can process Medicare rebate claims during your appointment, or you can receive a receipt to submit via the MyGov app or directly to Medicare.
For more information about the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme, visit the APS website here or the Department of Health website here.
Private Health Funds:
If you are not eligible for Medicare rebates, you may be able to claim through your private health fund (e.g., BUPA, Medibank Private, NRMA, NIB).Other Programs:
Therapists at Perfect Fit Health Solutions are SIRA registered and participate in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP’s) and Victims of Crime Schemes. -
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with disabilities, their families, and carers. If you’re not currently receiving disability support, you can apply for the NDIS by calling 1800 800 110 (8am to 5pm AEST, Monday to Friday) or visiting ndis.gov.au/nsw.
Perfect Fit Health Solutions are proud to be registered NDIS providers and so we are able to deliver services to those that are NDIS, plan and self managed.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Everyone faces challenges in life, and even if you’ve managed past difficulties well, seeking extra support is perfectly acceptable. Therapy is a sign of self-awareness and strength—recognising when you need help is commendable. By pursuing therapy, you’re taking responsibility for your situation and committing to making positive changes. Therapy offers lasting benefits, equipping you with tools to manage triggers, redirect harmful patterns, and tackle challenges effectively.
-
No, a referral is not required to see a therapist at Perfect Fit Health Solutions. Many individuals choose to consult a psychologist without first visiting a GP or other healthcare professional. However, if you wish to access Medicare rebates, a referral from a GP, psychiatrist, or pediatrician is necessary, and we recommend this route.
-
The number of sessions required can vary based on your individual needs, typically ranging from 8 to 15 sessions. Some clients may only need 1 to 5 sessions for specific issues, while others prefer longer-term therapy with less frequent sessions over time. You can discuss your therapy timeline with your therapist, and there’s no commitment—initial guidance allows you to schedule as you see fit.
-
Any information you provide to your therapist will be treated with the highest level of privacy and respect. Your details will remain confidential and shared only with your consent. The only exceptions are when disclosure is legally mandated or if there’s reasonable concern for someone’s safety.
-
For some individuals, a combination of medication and therapy may be effective. Research shows that medication can be beneficial for many adults, and sometimes adolescents and children. However, long-term mental and emotional well-being cannot be achieved through medication alone. Therapy addresses underlying causes and behavioural patterns, leading to sustainable growth and wellness. While we don’t prescribe medication at Perfect Fit Heath Solutions, we collaborate with GPs and psychiatrists to discuss eligibility and medication effectiveness. We’re here to explore this option with you throughout your therapy journey if it could help.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice (two business days) to allow us to offer your spot to another client. If you provide less than 48 hours' notice, the full session fee will apply, and this must be paid before rescheduling. Please note that Medicare and Private Health Funds do not offer rebates for canceled appointments.
